Amelie began playing soccer at the age of five and developed her game in high-level boys’ teams until the age of 15. Competing in these environments accelerated her growth both physically and technically, allowing her to stand out early in her career. During this time, she earned individual recognition as a Player of the Tournament and competed in elite international youth competitions, facing top boys academies such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Ajax, and Leicester City.

At just 16 years old, Amelie made the transition to women’s professional soccer, earning opportunities with two Eredivisie clubs. Alongside her club career, she was a consistent and important player across all Dutch youth national teams, representing the Netherlands from U14 through U19.

Amelie is an attacking player known for her outstanding technical abilities and creativity. Her strengths include excellent vision, precise passing, powerful shooting, and strong dribbling skills. She is comfortable taking on defenders, creating chances for herself and her teammates, and finishing in front of goal. Her speed and intelligent positioning allow her to exploit spaces effectively and remain a constant threat in attacking situations.

Amelie graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and started a bachelors degree in law at the University of Groningen. Motivated and disciplined, she has shown the ability to balance academics with high-level athletics. As she looks ahead, she is eager to pursue a pathway where she can combine elite soccer with a strong academic program making the U.S. college system an ideal next step.
