Level
Annabel plays for Almeerse U18-1 (Super) and is also substitute goalkeeper/practice player for Almeerse Women 1 (Overgangsklasse). She transferred from Saxenburg to Almere for the 2025-2026 season to challenge herself and continue developing at a higher level. Throughout her youth career, Annabel has consistently played for the top teams in her age group and was frequently asked to substitute for older teams, gaining early experience against stronger competition.

Playing style
Annabel is an active goalkeeper with strong hand-eye coordination, good floor work and great understanding of the game. She knows the importance of coaching and communicates clearly with her defense. Annabel has the ability to stay calm in high pressure situations, allowing her to do well in the case of penalty strokes and shootouts. She is a disciplined goalkeeper, with great timing, allowing her to often make the right decisions. Annabel trains frequently (6x per week) and at high intensity, allowing her to be in strong physical shape. She has never sustained an injury before. Annabel prides herself for her ability to apply technical feedback and stay focused during games and practices.

Accomplishments
In the 2022–2023 season, Annabel was named Most Valuable Player for her U16 club team, as her performances were considered the cornerstone of her team’s promotion. In 2023–2024, her team became league champions, conceding fewer than one goal every two matches. In December 2024, she received the MVP award at the HEA Indoor Tournament, and in May 2025, she won the Dutch Championship Hockey5s with her Talent Academy team. Annabel consistently anchors one of the strongest defenses in her league, averaging less than one goal against per match.

High performance
Annabel was selected for the Tophockey Talent Academy in 2024 and later joined the National Erasmus Keepers Academy (EKA). She also participated in the Dutch U18 national team try-outs, gaining valuable experience at the highest performance level in her age group.

Academics
Annabel is a motivated and strong student, and is expected to graduate the highest level of Dutch high school (VWO) in July 2026.
