Annerieke Nederveen

Annerieke currently plays for Voltena as a setter in the Dutch Second Division. Besides that she is also training with their first women’s team, playing Superdivisie level, the Second highest senior level in the Netherlands. Furthermore, Annerieke already made her Eredivisie debut at just 15 years, showcasing her exceptional skills and talents. 

Annerieke trains an impressive 11 hours per week, including weekly beach training sessions to further refine her technique. Her strengths as a setter lie in her teamwork, she always knows to find her teammates on court. Besides that she is eager to learn and quickly adapt, which makes her a valuable asset on any team. She is also notably strong in one-on-one blocking, adding versatility to her role within the team. 

Annerieke is focused on achieving more consistency in her sets and improving her ability to maintain a steady tempo, reflecting her drive to continuously elevate her game.

In academics, Annerieke graduated from HAVO-level, second highest level of high school in the Netherlands, in June 2023 and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. She is enthusiastic about continuing her studies in the U.S., where she hopes to combine her academic and athletic pursuits seamlessly. Annerieke will have three years of eligibility left.
