Level
Bo currently plays for Rood-Wit U18-2, and has experience at the higher regional levels in the Netherlands (Eerste/Tweede Klasse). Bo is regarded as one of the key players on her team.

Playing style
Bo is a strong and composed defender who excels at both left and right back. She reads the game well, allowing her to anticipate passes and often come up with important interceptions. Due to her quick reaction time and defensive patience, Bo has the ability to regain possession and start an offensive build up of play. In possession, she sees her options quickly and has the ability to deliver clean, accurate passes for long and short options. Bo enjoys connecting with her teammates through give-and-go’s and stays with the play after releasing the ball. Her solid 3D skills help her eliminate opponents and move the ball safely out of pressure. Bo’s tactical awareness, calmness on the ball, and willingness to continue play forward make her a valuable and steady presence in the back line. Her consistency and positive, team-first, mindset make her a dependable and respected player on and off the field.

Academics
Bo is a VWO student, enrolled in the highest level of Dutch secondary education, and is expected to graduate in July 2026. She is a motivated and disciplined student who combines her academic focus with her dedication to field hockey and is eager to continue both at the collegiate level in the United States.

Additional information
Bo works out daily to build her physical strength and conditioning, showing her commitment to continuous improvement and preparation for the intensity of collegiate field hockey. She combines field training with strength sessions to enhance her power, endurance, and speed, reflecting her disciplined and motivated approach to both sport and study. 

Bo is excited to continue her academic and athletic journey in the United States, where she looks forward to developing as a player, learning from new coaches, and contributing to her future college team’s success.
