Emily Kloen

Level

Emily currently plays in the U18-1 team of AH&BC, one of the biggest clubs in the country. The Women 1 team from AH&BC always performs at the top of the Hoofdklasse, the highest competition in The Netherlands. Emily has always played at some of the highest youth levels during her field hockey career (Super and Landelijk) and has been named team captain of last year’s team. She was also invited to the try-outs of the Dutch U16 team.

Playing style

Emily is a team player with a great basic skill set. She’s able to connect the team on and off the field. Emily is a true winner in games and at practice, always trying to improve and make the most of her time on the field. She’s known for her vision and smart choices. Emily excels in finding the right balance between a passing game and knowing when to go with speed and eliminate.

Academics

Emily is in her final year of high school and studies at the highest level of education in the Netherlands (VWO) and is expected to graduate in June 2023. She is a student with broad interests and talents, excelling in creative subjects but also taking math and sciences. Additional information

Emily is a dual citizen with an American mother and a US passport. Emily is excited to follow her mom's footsteps of becoming a college student in the United States.
