Hidde has a well-rounded tennis game with an attacking style. He plays aggressively from the baseline, using his forehand to create opportunities to finish points. He’s particularly effective at controlling points with his forehand inside-out, and is working to develop his backhand consistency. Hidde prefers to return with his backhand, but will always take advantage of the opportunity to attack with his forehand.

Hidde trains four times a week, including one hour of private coaching and three group sessions. He also plays about 4 to 5 times per week during his free time, and he regularly works on his fitness by going to the gym five times a week. When there are competitions, he plays two matches on Sundays and four more in the week, on average. He competes in local tournaments and usually participates in events within a 50 km radius.

Academically, Hidde is still exploring his options and is currently deciding between studying economics or physics. He is eager to find a university that offers the right balance of both academics and athletics to support his future goals.

In the U.S., Hidde aims to continue developing his tennis skills, with the long-term goal of competing at a higher level while pursuing his academic ambitions. He is focused on improving his game and looks forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
