Level
Julia began her hockey career at MHC de Reigers in Haarlemmermeer, consistently earning selection-team placements and competing in the first division. As a forward in the U14’s and U16’s youth teams, she won multiple championships, demonstrating her offensive prowess and versatility.

Motivated by a drive to compete at the highest level, Julia joined AMHC Rood-Wit after her U16 years. She was immediately selected for the U18-1 team, playing in the top Dutch national league. She played as a forward for a long time as well and is a versatile player. 
At Rood-Wit, Julia transitioned to a defensive role, where she has flourished. Her ability to read the game, intercept plays, and make decisive contributions has made her a standout player in the backfield.

Playing Style
Julia possesses exceptional game awareness, allowing her to read and anticipate plays with precision. She consistently intercepts passes and breaks up opposition attacks at critical moments, proving herself as a strategic defender. Naturally fit and highly athletic, Julia thrives in physically demanding situations. Her stamina and strength enable her to compete at a high level throughout every match, while her love for physical challenges fuels her drive to improve. Her work ethic and relentless determination set her apart. She is committed to challenging herself, working hard, and pushing her limits to grow as a player and contribute to her team’s success.  

Academics
Julia is currently in her senior year of high school (VWO/Gymnasium). She is expecting to graduate in June, 2025. She is really excited to play in the U.S. and wants to compete with her new team starting in the Fall of 2025.
