Level
Julius currently plays for Klein-Zwitserland U18-2 with whom he competes at one of the highest youth level in the Netherlands. He started playing field hockey from a young age and has 8 years of experience playing at the highest national level (“landelijk”). He has consistently demonstrated his skills and dedication, earning recognition as both a team player and an individual contributor on the field. His team finished 3rd and 5th place in the Dutch national field hockey championships. On top of that, he placed 3rd in the indoor hockey U14 nationals, where he scored 4 goals in the quarter-final against Kampong. He was also selected for the “Midden-Holland” U14 team in the 2020-2021 season, a team composed of the top U14 players from the Southern Netherlands.

Playing style
Julius is known for his intelligent play on and off the ball. He rarely loses possession and excels at identifying opportunities and making precise passes to capitalize on overlooked runs. Confident and effective when running with the ball, Julius maintains control and contributes to the team’s offensive momentum. Moreover, Julius is a hardworking and reliable player who inspires his teammates with his determination and drive. He possesses a keen understanding of the game, enabling him to make quick, strategic decisions that benefit his team.

Julius’s blend of technical skill, tactical intelligence, and relentless work ethic make him a strong candidate for university-level hockey in the UK. His proven record of performing at the highest levels and his ability to adapt to various team dynamics underscore his readiness to succeed in competitive collegiate environments.

Academics
Julius is currently in his senior year of high school (Gymnasium). He also received his Cambridge certificate. He is expecting to graduate in June, 2025. He is really excited to play in the U.K. and wants to compete starting in the Fall of 2025.
