Athletic Background

Kyan began his professional career with BAL (Basketball Academie Limburg), where he made his BNXT League debut in 2022 and was crowned U18 National Champion. In 2023, he trained with Valencia EuroProBasket Academy, sharpening his game during a 3-week intensive program.

Currently with Heroes Den Bosch, he has:

• Competed in the Eurocup Qualifiers (Antalya, Turkey)
• Won the 2025 Dutch TOTO Basketball Cup
• Played with the best-ranked Dutch team in the BNXT League

Kyan is also an accomplished 3×3 player, earning the title of Dutch U23 Champion. His international tournament experience includes:

• France – Lille Dechy U20
• Austria – United World Games U19
• Slovakia – EYBL Levice U23

Strengths

Kyan is best known for his elite rebounding, high-energy hustle, and defensive versatility. He comfortably guards positions 1 through 5, using his athleticism, physicality, and basketball IQ to shut down opponents. 

Kyan trains over 30 hours a week—balancing skill work, strength training, and team practices. His mental resilience is just as impressive as his athletic talent. In 2022, he suffered from Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) after a game injury, resulting in temporary paralysis and wheelchair use. Through 1.5 years of intense rehab, he made a full recovery, proving his dedication and mental toughness.

He now plays without limitations and brings a unique perspective to the game—grateful, focused, and fully committed. Kyan is a vocal, positive presence in the locker room and believes that strong team chemistry is the foundation for success.

Goals

Kyan is currently focused on developing his ball handling and decision-making under pressure. His goal is to better maintain control while staying aggressive—keeping the ball alive and making the right read in high-tempo scenarios. Through consistent, targeted drills, he’s committed to evolving his offensive playmaking.

Kyan’s main goal is to fully unlock his athletic potential by combining physical power with basketball finesse. He wants to elevate his game by learning how to better utilize his size, speed, and explosiveness in both transition and half-court sets.

His long-term vision includes playing at the highest collegiate level in the U.S., while gaining a quality education. 

Kyan is ready to take the next step in his basketball career. He’s looking for a competitive collegiate environment where he can grow as both an athlete and a person, surrounded by coaches and teammates who share his ambition and intensity.
