Manouk Saal

Level
Manouk plays for LOHC U18-1 who compete at one of the highest competitions in the Dutch youth league (Super A).  She is an attacker and midfielder who has always played at one of the highest levels. She has worked her way up during her youth career starting at U14-2 and improving so much during the last four years to eventually becoming a key player for her team. She also is captain of her team showcasing her leadership. Moreover, she is allowed to practice with their Women’s 1 team who compete at promotie klasse, the second highest competition in Dutch senior hockey.

Playing Style
Manouk is known for her ability to deliver accurate and timely passes, ensuring her team maintains possession and creates scoring opportunities. Her exceptional technical skills, including precise ball handling and striking techniques, make her a reliable player under pressure. Her awareness of her teammates' positioning enables her to make quick, intelligent decisions. Her ability to read the game allows her to anticipate plays, make effective passes, and execute strategies even against stronger opponents. Moreover, as a captain, Manouk takes an active role in coaching her teammates on the field. Her vocal presence ensures the team stays organized and motivated throughout the game. On top of that, she is very energetic on the field. She consistently gives her all, both in maintaining the pace of the game and driving her team to match her intensity.

Academics
Manouk is currently in her senior year of high school (Havo). She is expecting to graduate in June, 2025. She is really excited to play in the U.S. and wants to compete with her new team starting in the Fall of 2025.
