Marit began her volleyball journey at Smash ’66, where she developed a passion for the game but eventually sought out more competitive environments to grow as a player. After spending two seasons at Flits, she joined Sliedrecht Sport, one of the best volleyball clubs in the Netherlands. 

In 2024, Marit spent a year in the U.S. playing club volleyball for New Waves Volleyball Club, where she experienced a steep learning curve and improved her skills significantly, especially in adapting to a faster-paced and more competitive level of play. While team results at tournaments didn’t always reflect their effort, Marit grew tremendously as an individual player. Now back in the Netherlands, she will be competing with Sliedrecht Sport.

Marit is known for her calm leadership and steady presence on the court. She brings a unique mix of confidence, humor, and lightness to every practice and match, helping to elevate the energy of her team. Her vision and ability to recognize open spaces on the court make her an effective and smart attacker. Her goal is to become the best volleyball player she can be and to make the most of her college experience both athletically and academically.

Marit graduated from high school at the HAVO level in 2024. After graduating high school in the Netherlands, Marit spend a year at Clearwater Central Catholic Highschool Florida and graduated. She is interested in studying a business-related major in college.
