Martijn currently trains two to three times per week, putting energy into sharpening his game and attacking play. He gains valuable match experience by competing in league matches and occasionally entering tournaments, which give him the chance to test his style against a variety of opponents.

In matches, Martijn combines depth and tempo to push opponents back, waiting for the right moment to step in and take control of the point. This balanced approach allows him to stay solid under pressure while still creating chances to dictate rallies.

Alongside tennis, Martijn is in his first year of Sport, Management and Entrepreneurship at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS). He is also interested in continuing his studies in a similar direction in the United States, combining his academic interests with the opportunity to further develop as an athlete.
