Pien Meinema

Level

Pien plays at the second highest level possible in the youth Dutch competition (Super B) with her team Malburgen U16-1. She is a versatile player who can play as a midfielder as well as a side midfielder. She has been captain of her team and has great leadership skills. 

She was also scouted to join the National Team U14  and train with the best players in that age group.
 
Playing Style

Pien is an intelligent midfielder who is the connection between the defenders and the forwards. Pien's passing skills are second to none. Known for her precision and speed, she consistently delivers accurate passes that create scoring opportunities. Her ability to execute combinations seamlessly adds depth to her team's attacking strategies.

On top of that, her physical strength is matched only by her confidence on the field. She remains calm under pressure, making her an asset in challenging situations. Her confidence is infectious, driving her teammates to perform at their best.

Pien possesses a remarkable understanding of the game, coupled with strong leadership qualities. As a former captain, she knows how to inspire and lead her team to victory.

Academics

Pien is currently in her 4th year of HAVO. She is expecting to graduate in June, 2025. She is really excited to play in the U.S. and wants to compete with her new team starting in the Fall of 2025.
