Level
Pien has experience at the highest levels of Dutch youth hockey (Super, Top, Subtop). As a U18 player, she regularly trains and plays games with Berkel-Enschot Women 1 at the fourth highest level of Dutch senior hockey, giving her experience with senior-level hockey. This allows her to become more accustomed to a more physical and quicker style of play. In 2024, she transferred clubs in order to challenge herself and compete at a higher level. 

Playing style
Pien is known for being strong and calm on the ball, with excellent field vision that allows her to make smart and efficient decisions under pressure. She plays with intensity and determination, always giving maximum effort on both sides of the ball. Her communication is a key part of her game. She coaches her teammates constantly to keep the team organized and connected. Whether playing centrally in the backline or stepping into the midfield, Pien brings stability, structure, and leadership.

Accomplishments
In her first year at Berkel-Enschot, Pien led her team to the championship in the Subtopklasse, allowing them to play in the Super league for the first time in club history. As a youth player at MHC HOCO, Pien won league championships with her U12 and U14 teams. Her move to a higher-level club and current role with a senior team reflect her ambition and growth as a player.

Academics
Pien is expected to graduate the highest level of Dutch high school (VWO) in June 2026.

Pien is excited to start her adventure in the US in the Fall of 2026 and is looking forward to contributing to her American college team at the highest level possible.
