Pleun van Rosmalen

Level
Pleun plays for Oranje-Rood U18-1 who compete at the highest competition in the Dutch youth league (Landelijk).  She is a defender who has always played at the highest level. Her extensive experience includes winning the Dutch national championship with U12-1, reaching the national final with Girls U16-1, and making it to the semi-finals with Girls U18-1. This track record demonstrates her ability to perform at elite levels and contribute significantly in high-stakes games.

Playing Style
Pleun is a natural defender, known for her strong ball-handling skills and ability to read the game effectively. She is highly skilled at shutting down opponent attacks, consistently positioning herself to intercept passes and halt offensive plays. Moreover, Pleun excels at launching attacks from the backline, using her sharp passing and vision to transition from defense to offense smoothly. Her commitment to maintaining possession and finding teammates makes her a dependable distributor, turning defensive stops into opportunities for her team.
With her physical strength and deep understanding of the game, Pleun is a commanding presence on the field. Her insight enables her to anticipate plays, position herself effectively, and ensure her defensive line remains organized and resilient.

Academics
Pleun is currently in her 2rd year of MBO. She is expecting to graduate in June, 2026. She is really excited to play in the U.S. and wants to compete with her new team starting in the Fall of 2026.
