Renee van Bommel (2002) is a talented and physically strong Dutch right-handed tennis player. She graduated from high school in July 2020 and is looking for a strong and ambitious college tennis program starting in the Fall of 2021.
Until the age of 12, Renee has lived in multiple European countries and has been grown up in a very athletic and international environment. At the age of 12, Renee moved back to the Netherland with her family and started focusing more on tennis. She started playing ITF Tournaments at the age of 15, while training at the Amjoy Tennis and Kim Clijsters academies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Renee is very athletic and moves well on the court. Her serve and strokes are quite powerful and technically strong. We believe she has a lot of potential to further develop in college.
With the right environment and strong coaching, Renee's goal is to become as fit as possible, to completely live for tennis and ultimately to play on the WTA tour. She has great team spirit and also enjoys playing doubles.
While she has reached multiple quarter finals in ITF events, and won an ITF grade 4 event in Doubles, Renee's best tennis is definitely still ahead of her.
Renee is interested in studying Journalism, Psychology or a similar major. She is extremely motivated to help her team become successful and will be a strong addition to many ambitious college tennis programs.
