Rick Nieke is a Japanese tennis player born in Switzerland and currently living in the Netherlands. He is born in April 2005. He currently trains at the National Tennis Center in the Netherlands and is looking for a college tennis team to join in the fall of 2023. Rick is already fluent in English and attends an international high school (IB).
Rick Nieke is a very athletic player. His psychical and movement abilities are one of his biggest strengths. Rick started playing tennis relatively late, he was 12 years old when he decided to fully focus on tennis. Thanks to that he learned to work even harder than others of his age category.
Rick is not the tallest player (5’8), but his quick feet and athletic skills give him great footwork and coverage of the court. This is one of his biggest strengths during a match. He is a hard worker, on the tennis courts and in the classroom. He hopes to bring his own mentality into the team and encourage others. Rick is currently trained at the National Tennis Center in the Netherlands by Boy Westerhof (former Dutch ATP-player).
During his time in college, Rick wants to improve his technique, get better and stronger in long rallies and play a lot of matches to increase his rankings and UTR.
You can find more information on his results on his UTR Profile.
We know Rick to be extremely dedicated to his tennis. He communicates very well and has clear goals in sight. He has a lot of potential to further develop in college.
Rick is currently enrolled in an international high school in Amsterdam and is expecting to graduate in the spring of 2023.
Rick is interested in studying business, engineering or biomechanics.
