Rosa has been playing at the higher youth levels in The Netherlands for most of her career (Landelijk/IDC, Super and Subtop). This season, she will be playing for the HBR U18-1 team at one of the highest youth levels again. During her career, Rosa has frequently been asked to sub in for teams one or two age levels up. She also regularly plays for the Women 2 team of her club, making her already accustomed to a more physical style of play.

Rosa’s strengths are her hockey IQ and basic skills. Due to her excellent vision and ball control she is always able to read the field and find the open lanes to her teammates. Rosa usually plays as a higher, attacking fullback. She has the ability to transfer the ball and play long and short passes with a variety of skills (push, sweep, hit). Due to her attacking mindset, Rosa is also able to move up the field with skill and speed, eliminating pressing lines, and creating attacking opportunities for her teammates. Her playing style would allow her to do well in a midfield position as well. Rosa is considered one of the go-to players on her team and is often looked at for her leadership qualities.

Rosa has been selected to try out for the regional U14/15 teams as a standout player from her club.

Rosa is a strong student and in her fifth year of high school (VWO level) and will graduate in June 2025. She’s expected to take the SAT and Duolingo in the Fall of 2024.

Rosa is excited to join a college field hockey team in the Fall of 2025. She’s looking forward to working hard, gaining strength and being a great contributor to an ambitious team.
