About Rosalie Reef

Rosalie’s swimming journey has been marked by both challenges and successes. At the age of 12 or 13, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, training opportunities were limited, causing a temporary setback in her development. During the 2024 Dutch National Championships in Amersfoort, she achieved the qualifying time for the European Junior Championships (EJK) in Vilnius in the 100m freestyle. At the EJK, she represented her country in multiple relays and her individual event.

Rosalie excels in sprinting, a discipline she finds both challenging and enjoyable. She trains five times a week, totaling 10 hours of practice Her training is often focused on improving her sprinting abilities, especially as she approaches the taper phase of her preparation. Strength training also plays a significant role in enhancing her performance. Despite her achievements, Rosalie is committed to continuous improvement. She is working on refining certain aspects of her technique, such as her hand entry and breathing, and is also focused on building her endurance to improve her performance in longer events like the 200m freestyle.
