Athletic Background

Before baseball, Samuel developed a versatile athletic base through competitive gymnastics, judo, and swimming. He began playing baseball in 2021 and took up pitching in 2022. That was the turning point where he realized his serious potential in the sport, leading him to train year-round with Future Stars. In 2023, he was selected for the prestigious Little League Tournament—an early milestone that recognized his talent and dedication. Since 2024, Samuel plays in the U21 first-class team of the Grizzlies, making a name for himself as one of the top players in the league. He trains remotely with Tread Athletics to refine his pitching mechanics and velocity with guidance from elite coaches. 

Samuel has competed in several high-level international tournaments:

• U15 Tournament – Aruba (Future Stars, Oct 2023)
• U18 Tournament – Barcelona (Future Stars, Feb 2024)
• European Draft Series – Netherlands (Summer, 2024)
• Babe Ruth Base Brawl – Netherlands (Grizzlies, 2023 & 2024)

• Pitching velocity: summer 2022: 50 mph, summer 2023: 68 mph, summer 2024: 76 mph, spring 2025: 84 mph
• Fastball in the low 80’s, a sharp curveball in the high sixties, and a sinking change-up in the low seventies.

Samuel’s biggest assets are his physical strength, discipline, and work ethic. His consistent year-over-year development, particularly on the mound, is a reflection of his focused mindset and training dedication. He’s also known for being coachable and mentally resilient willing to put in the extra work to improve. 

Academic Profile
In addition to his athletic talent, Samuel is a high-achieving student with a strong academic foundation. He currently holds a 4.0 GPA, demonstrating consistent excellence across subjects. He recently scored 1430 on the SAT and plans to retake the test to further improve his result. His academic drive matches his athletic discipline, positioning him as an ideal candidate for a competitive collegiate environment where he can excel both on the field and in the classroom.

Athletic Goals

While his physical growth has been impressive, Samuel is working to refine his mechanics, better manage workload and recovery, and sharpen his mental game during high-pressure situations. 

Samuel aims to become the best baseball player he can be and ultimately reach the Major Leagues. His dream is to be drafted after college and build a professional career in the US. If successful, he hopes to remain in the US long-term and continue growing within the game he loves.
