Athletic Background

Thorsten began his American football career with the Alphen Eagles, but due to age restrictions, he transitioned to Team United (U20), where he played his first competitive snaps. In the following season, Team United joined the Belgian league, a period during which Thorsten earned significant playing time and valuable game experience against strong competition.

During the most recent offseason, Thorsten was invited to try out for Team Benelux, where he had the opportunity to compete against the NFL Academy an important milestone highlighting his development and potential.

This season, Thorsten has returned to the Alphen Eagles with the goal of contributing at a high level and helping the team make a deep playoff run.

Strengths

Thorsten’s strongest asset is his ability to catch the football. During the 2025 season, he recorded only one drop, demonstrating exceptional focus and reliability as a receiver. His vertical jump further enhances his effectiveness in contested-catch situations and red-zone scenarios, allowing him to win matchups against defenders and create separation through elevation.

Areas to Improve

Thorsten is actively working on refining his route running, with particular emphasis on out-breaking routes. Additionally, he is focused on improving his yards-after-catch ability, especially following short receptions, aiming to become more explosive and elusive once the ball is in his hands.

Athletic Goals

Thorsten’s goal is to improve in all aspects of football, both on and off the field. After his time in the United States, he aims to bring his experience, knowledge, and professionalism back to his home program to help elevate the Alphen Eagles ultimately striving to contribute to long-term success and potentially a championship.
