Tijn began his football journey at the age of four at CJVV, just minutes from his home, and started goalkeeping when he was six. At ten years old, he made the move to AFC Quick, where he continued to develop his skills and gain valuable match experience. After four years at AFC Quick, Tijn impressed during a game against IJsselmeervogels while playing up an age group. His performance caught the attention of the IJsselmeervogels coaching staff, who invited him to join the club. Since then, he has established himself as the first goalkeeper and is now in his third season with the team.

His strengths as a goalkeeper stand out in several key areas: his vocal presence and leadership, which keep his defense organized; his ability in 1v1 situations, where he consistently denies opponents; and his quick reflexes and explosive take-off, allowing him to make crucial saves on the line.

This year, Tijn competes in the 3rd Division against top competition, including professional academies such as FC Emmen and SC Cambuur. He also played a game this year against PEC Zwolle u21, where the opponent included multiple Eredivisie players in the squad, the highest professional level in The Netherlands. Playing in this environment has accelerated his development and allowed him to test himself against some of the best young players in the country. Over the past year, Tijn has seen significant growth in his performances, steadily improving his consistency and confidence. 

With his dedication, ambition, and continuous improvement, Tijn is on an exciting path as he works toward becoming the best goalkeeper he can be, always pushing himself and his team to higher levels.

He is looking to join an ambitious college program in the fall of 2026.
