Minke Bultje

Minke Bultje is a defending midfielder / central defender who is currently playing at MhcHbs MA1 in the National Sub-Top league and practicing with the Dames 1 team of MhcHbs in the Promotieklasse. Minke has gained experience while playing in the Dutch National League for three years, and in the goldcup with MhcHbs Dames 1 team.


Minke is expecting to graduate high school in the spring of 2020 and is interested in joining a competitive field hockey team in the Fall of 2020.

Minke started playing at MhcHBbs as a forward when she was 12 years old. She was soon moved the backfield, as it became clear that she had defensive talent. Ever since, she has been playing as a defensive midfielder – where she has been focusing on breaking down the attack by taking out forwards. She has a strong voice on the field and builds the attack steadily. In 2018, Minke and her school team won the national school hockey championships. That year, Minke also got third place on the Indoor district championships.

Minke has an excellent ball stick handling – her quick hands make it easy for her to remove herself from highly dangerous situation. She has a strong tactical awareness and is very coachable. Minke as a responsible player and easily finds the passes. Moreover, she is a consistent asset in the back with a winners-mentality. She loves working hard for and with her teammates. She is looking forward to playing field hockey at a high level and gaining more strength and speed.
