Myah Petchey

With a career high of 179 on the ITF Junior tour and a 10.8 UTR, Myah Petchey is one of the leading junior players for England and South Africa women's tennis. While her father, Mark Petchey, is a former professional player on the ATP Tour and her sister is playing for SMU, Myah is interested in joining a college program starting in the Fall of 2019.


In her relatively short junior career, Myah has reached to the finals of 10 ITF junior events, winning 4 of them, including grade 3 and grade 4 events in singles.

Myah was born in England and in December 2006 she moved to Cape Town, South Africa with her family. In 2017, she moved back to England where she is currently being home schooled, training and playing.
She is interested in playing college tennis in the fall of 2019 with the ambitions to go pro after her college career.

Myah has won numerous ITF singles titles and has a UTR high singles rating of 10.8.

Myah is very consistent with solid and technical strokes and a strong competitor. In recent months she has worked a lot on her physical strength and has gained approximately 10 pounds of muscle.
Her ultimate goal is to become a professional player on the WTA tour and she is willing to do everything to achieve that.

She scored a 1080 on the SAT.
