Tom Bareven

Tom Bareven is an American / Israeli midfielder currently playing for the U19 team of VV Scharn in the Netherlands. He attends an international school in the Netherlands and is interested in joining a strong college soccer team in the Fall of 2020.


For the past 4 years, Tom has been playing at junior amateur level in the Netherlands. Even though he is only 17 years old, he is currently playing in the under 19 team at VV Scharn. He also plays in his school’s football team, UWC Maastricht FC.

Tom is a right footed midfielder and has experience in the Dutch U19 leagues as well as international high school competitions.
In 2019, his school football team participated in the European School Sports League (ESSL) Tournament in Geneva, Switzerland. The tournament consisted of International schools from countries from all over Europe. UWC Maastricht FC came 3rd place in the whole tournament. The school football team also frequently fixtures against International School that are near our campus. The last fixture that UWCM FC had was against the international school of Cologne.

After moving to the Netherlands at the age of 12, Tom started relatively late with playing soccer. In a short period of 4 years, he has developed good vision and physique. He enjoys a leadership position on the pitch and is a great team player.
Tom has participated in Chelsea FC football camps and FC Barcelona football camps.
