Coco Bosman is a right-handed and powerful Dutch tennis player with a lot of potential. She is currently in her last year of Full IB, has excellent grades and is interested in joining an ambitious college tennis team starting in the Fall of 2021 or the Spring of 2022.
Even though she started playing tennis at a young age, Coco played field hockey for a long time as well, hence developing athletic skills in both sports. When Coco was 11 years old, she moved to South-Africa with her family for 2 years, where Coco went to The American International School in Johannesburg and trained 3 times a week at a local tennis academy. When she moved back to the Netherlands at the age of 13, she has developed her tennis rapidly. She has climbed in the rankings and is looking forward to investing a lot of time and energy in her tennis to become the best player she can be.
Coco is quite tall and physically strong, and therefore can use her serve and forehand as weapons. She plays her best tennis when attacking. Her overall game is improving as well, as she has put a lot of focus on improving her backhand and her overall footwork and explosiveness. Coco currently trains at BK Tennis with former Dutch Davis Cup captain Tjerk Bogtstra, a certified KNLTB federation coach. While in college, Coco would like to improve her tennis, physical and mental skills and to help her team succeed on the conference and national level.
Coco has been ranked EOY 2019 as high as #4 in her age group in the Netherlands, reached the quarterfinals in the U16 national tournament and reached in March 2020 (just before ITF corona shutdown) the final of an ITF Grade 4 in Sweden in doubles. She plays Dutch and Swedish club league tennis in the first division and we believe that with the right coaching and match experience, she has a lot of potential to further develop. Please check out her UTR profile or her ITF profile for more information on her results.
Coco will graduate from IB in the spring of 2021, and will be available for the Fall of 2021 or the Spring of 2022. She would like to use a gap period of 6 months to train at the Mouratoglou academy and to play more ITF events. While in college, Coco wants to continue her path of high level academics. She is interested in studying business management or social studies. Please check out the details section for more information about her academics, and feel free to contact us if you are interested in recruiting Coco!
