Didi Steenhuis (2005) is a left-handed tennis player looking for a college team to join in the Fall of 2023. Didi is motivated to take the next step in her career by going to college.
Didi currently plays and trains at Racketclub Westerbork in the Netherlands. She started playing at a serious level early in her career. However, due to covid and an injury she wasn’t able to play as much as she wanted. When this situation improved, she started playing more matches and has been improving significantly.
During her junior career, Didi played a lot of National Junior Tournaments and was ranked inside the top of her age category.
Didi is an offensive player, she likes to dominate the points with her groundstrokes. She also uses a lot of variation in her shots, which makes her game hard to read.
During her time in college, she mainly wants to improve her backhand and footwork. Overall, she hopes to play as many matches as possible and become the best version of herself.

Didi graduated from high school in June 2022, in the HAVO level, second highest level of high school in the Netherlands. Following a bilingual education. She is currently in a gap year, fully focusing on her tennis. She is interested in studying psychology or something related.
