Ingmar competes at the highest level in the Netherlands and has been steadily building a reputation as a hardworking and focused athlete. Before fully committing to golf at the age of 13, Ingmar lived in Munich for several years and competed in both basketball and soccer at a high level, sports that helped shape his athletic foundation and sharpen his mental toughness. His current coach is John Woof, a former golf professional.
Ingmar is active on the Global Junior Golf circuit and made his debut on the TORO Tour this season.
Ingmar’s strengths lie in his work ethic and competitive mindset. He brings focus and determination to every round and is always looking for ways to challenge himself and improve. While he continues to develop all aspects of his game, he is currently focused on refining specific shots to become more consistent and effective under pressure. He has shown rapid development over the past season, with a clear upward trajectory in both technical consistency and tournament performance. His current handicap is -1.6. However, we expect him to make significant progress over the next few months. His current scoring average is 74,43. Average swing speed: 116 mph
Some of his best results are:
– National Championship U21 2025, 15th place. Finish: +4, -1, +7
– Global Junior Golf Tournament, Drentsche: -3
– 4th place Oosterhoutse Open 2025
– Dutch Amateur Championship +3, +1
– Papendal Open 2025, 12th place. -1.
– 1st place Batouws youth open: +2, +1
– 8th place Toro Tour 2025: +1,-2,+2
– 2nd place Global junior golf grand final (+3,+5,level par)
Looking ahead to the fall of 2026, Ingmar is searching for a college golf program that offers a competitive environment, a strong team culture, and the opportunity to grow both on and off the course. His background in multiple sports, combined with his dedication to continuous improvement, makes him a well-rounded and coachable athlete.
Ingmar finished high school in June 2025. He is currently in a gap year to fully focus on his golf before starting college in the fall of 2026. He has not yet decided on a major. During his time in high school, Ingmar was officially recognized as an elite athlete by the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF), earning a “Top Sports Status.” This distinction is awarded to a select group of talented, young athletes in the Netherlands who compete at a high national level. Thanks to this recognition, he was able to combine intensive golf training with his academic program.
