Women's Swimming & Diving

Lita van Weert

Lita van Weert is a Dutch springboard diver, currently competing at the elite level for Team NL and PSV Schoonspringen. Since starting the sport at just five years old, diving has been her greatest passion. She has already made a name for herself on the international stage, securing a 10th place finish at the 2024 European Junior Championships (EJK) and claiming multiple national and international titles. At the beginning of 2025, she once again qualified for the EJK, proving her consistency and growth as an athlete. Lita is eager to take the next step in her career by joining a collegiate diving program in the Fall of 2027, where she can continue to develop her skills and compete at the highest level.

About Lita van Weert

Athletic Background
Lita has consistently performed at a high level in competition, showcasing her ability to remain steady under pressure. She is a seven-time Dutch national champion and has won multiple medals at prestigious international meets, including the Bergen Open, Gamma Cup, Eindhoven Diving Cup, Scottish open and Amsterdam Diving Cup. In 2024, she achieved a finals placement at the EJK, finishing 10th overall on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Additionally, she holds the title of Belgian Champion on the 1m and 3m boards. At the beginning of 2025, she qualified for the EJK again.

Athletic Goals
Lita’s ultimate goal is to compete at the Olympic Games and World Championships. She is determined to continue improving her dives, perfecting her technique and difficulty level to achieve international success. She wants to work to more dives on both 1 and 3m. Inspired by elite divers like Else Praasterink, she sees college diving as the perfect opportunity to take her career to the next level.
