Max Bouwman

Level

Max currently plays in the Womens 1 team of Hilversumse MHC. During her career, she has played in one of the highest leagues in the Netherlands (Super C & B). She is currently playing at senior level.  

Playing style

Max is a technical right and left wing midfielder. She has a good dribble and a great acceleration. Her teammates and coaches call her ‘the magician’ because of her great technical skills. She also has a great eye for open spaces in the field and knows how to find her teammates with a pass. Max understands where to position herself to get the ball and uses her off ball movement to create space for other players as well. She can also give the penalty corner insert. Over the years, Max has been able to develop her physical strength. She used to be the smallest girl on the team, known for her amazing technical skills. Now, Max is one of the tallest players and was able to gain more strength as well. She is strong on the ball which is necessary as she plays on the senior team. She is a smart, dedicated player who knows how to use her speed and strength while on the ball. She is a true midfielder that connects the backfield with the attackers. 

Academics

Max graduated high school in July 2022 from the International School Hilversum. She graduated from VWO and followed IB education, with a GPA of 3.51. Her IB results were 40/45 points, which is achieved by only the top 10% of students worldwide. She will be taking the SAT in December, 2022.
