    About Simon Johnson

Simon has a great passion for tennis, training seven times a week, and he also plays competitive matches once a week at Doane University. To improve his game and get physically stronger, Simon also lifts weights five times a week.

On the court, Simon is best known for his strong passing shots and his down-the-line forehand. He uses this forehand to control the pace of rallies and put pressure on his opponents.

In the past twelve months, he has participated in sixteen USTA tournaments, demonstrating his determination to compete and gain experience. Some of his best results include:

    • 6-1 6-4 win over Dutch Prather (UTR 10.47)
    • 6-3 6-4 win over Krishna Bhadriraju (UTR 10.41)
    • 7-6 2-6 2-10 loss to Vincent Weaver (UTR 11.06)

In addition to tennis, Simon’s academic interests are focused on business.

Simon is looking for a university where he can combine a strong business education with his passion for tennis. He is committed to working hard and proving he can be a valuable addition to a team.
