Sint-Joris Student-Athlete Day

On October 20th, Slamstox organises a career orientation day for the Sint-Joris College top athletes. There are going to be 5 different speakers, who share their experiences on their job and how they got there. This way, all students can figure about what they are going to do after they graduate.

We are going to start the day with a presentation of our very own Slamstox colleague Ron Zwerver. He is an Olympic gold medalist winner with his sport volleyball and is going to tell the student more on what makes professional athletes so special. As a top athlete, you can achieve so much in your sport, but also in your social career. The other subjects of the day are mainly going to be presented by our SX-colleagues. All of them have a background in sports and are going to tell the students more about their education, careers and all the steps you can take after your high school diploma. The following subjects will be addressed; 

The Sint-Joris top athletes only want one thing: be able to combine their sports and their education. America is the perfect place to do so! What are your chances of getting a scholarship at an American university and how are you going to achieve that? Slamstox founder Pedro Mol is going to tell you all about it! Pedro went to America for four years, to combine tennis and his education. During his time as a student-athlete at his university North Carolina at Wilmington, the tennis team was very successful. Pedro tells you all about his experience and the advantages of college sports. 

How do you end up in the Champions league of (sports)marketing? Techonomy can tell you all about it. Do you find it interesting  to know more about it? The Techonomy presentation is perfect for you! Techonomy employee Damian Francois tells you more about his own career and the different road that let to his job at Techonomy. Two LOOT graduates of Sint-Joris College, Wessel brands and Joey Leenen, started their own speciality beer brand Brabants Chlorie.
