Sports: Women’s Volleyball
Entry semester: Fall 2027

This is Famke Vis, a 16-year-old volleyball player from the Netherlands, living in Utrecht. Before Famke started playing volleyball, she first played field hockey, tennis and athletics. She is 178 cm tall and is still growing. Famke is a real all-rounder when it comes to the positions where she often stands. She learns quickly and takes feedback very seriously so she can use it to grow on and off the field.

What makes Famke special as a person is that she is always positive and kind. You can work well and easily with Famke. She also cares a lot about other people and creates a good energy in a team.

What really sets Famke apart as an athlete is that she not only pushes herself to improve, but also helps others do so. Also, Famke is always well focused and disciplined when she is playing volleyball.

In the future, Famke hopes to get better at English in America, improve her volleyball and explore the culture. Famke’s life goals are to be happy, play volleyball at the highest level possible and be the best version of herself. On her new team, Famke will add value through her will to improve and her teamwork.
