American universities have a budget with which they award scholarships to talented students. With these they try to bind the best candidates to their institution – both academically and athletically. Unlike in the Netherlands, where scholarships are less common, scholarships in America are an important part of the admissions process. <\/p>\n\n
The amount of the scholarship depends on your profile: the better your grades or sports performance, the greater the chance of a high scholarship. In some cases, up to 100% of the costs (tuition, housing, meals) are reimbursed. <\/p>\n\n
