Some athletes start three years in advance, others three months. Basically, the earlier you start, the more spots on college teams are available and the more time you have to prepare everything properly. In America, college admissions committees look at your high school grades from the last four years, so it actually starts as early as HAVO 2 or VWO 3. So it’s not a crazy idea at all to start the process several years before you leave. That way you have a better chance of getting a good spot on a college team you’d like to attend! <\/p>\n\n
