The most well-known are the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.slamstox.com\/en\/wiki\/faq\/what-is-the-ncaa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NCAA<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.slamstox.com\/en\/wiki\/faq\/what-is-the-naia\/\">NAIA<\/a>and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.slamstox.com\/en\/wiki\/faq\/what-is-the-njcaa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NJCAA<\/a>. Each association organizes leagues at multiple levels, also called divisions.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sports associations and their divisions<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the NCAA, for example, there are three divisions: Division 1, 2 and 3. Division 1 is the highest level, while Division 3 is usually the lowest. But important to know: there is a lot of overlap in athletic and study level between the divisions as well as between the different sports leagues.
