Sports: <\/strong>Men’s Volleyball This is Emiel Noomen, an 18-year-old volleyball player from the Netherlands, living in Amsterdam. Emiel has been playing his entire volleyball career at US Amsterdam as an opposite. He started playing volleyball because both his parents did it and because he and a friend were looking for a new sport. After a trial training they liked volleyball the most. <\/p>\n\n\n\n What makes Emiel special as a person is that he is reliable, sociale and helpful. This makes him a good team player, both at school and on the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What really sets Emiel apart as an athlete is that he can be coached well and blocks are his strength because of his height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the future, Emiel hopes to learn more about the culture in America and experience what it is like to combine volleyball and study in a way that is not possible in the Netherlands.
