Versatile athlete Eva Vrancken proves that a top sports mentality is not tied to one discipline. She was an active gymnast until the age of 12, after which she switched to kickboxing. To keep up her fitness, she started running, something that quickly grew into a new passion. That passion eventually brought her all the way to the United States, where she has been studying and training at Keiser University in Florida since Fall 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From gymnastics floor to athletics track<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Eva’s athletic journey shows how a broad sports background can contribute to success. What started as a way to stay fit grew into a serious love for athletics. Her goal was clear: to gain international experience and develop in a new environment. Choosing Keiser University gave her that opportunity. A place where she could combine her academic and athletic ambitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenges and growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Because Eva started athletics relatively late, the entry level of the sport was challenging. Yet she met that challenge head on. Her strong mindset, discipline and perseverance helped her grow quickly within the college track and field team. The experience of training in a competitive and international setting gave her exactly what she was looking for: personal growth and new perspectives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Role of Slamstox<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the first two phases of the Slamstox program<\/a>, her independence was immediately noticeable. She arranged a lot herself, but was also not afraid to ask questions when necessary. That made the cooperation pleasant and effective. Her proactivity and goal orientation are therefore what have stuck with me most from the process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A valuable experience in Florida<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At Keiser University, Eva enjoys student life in sunny Florida, a unique opportunity to combine her academic goals with her athletic development. Thanks to an academic scholarship<\/a>, she was able to take this step and gain international experience in a place where sports and studies are perfectly balanced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva Vrancken shows that initiative, guts and an open mindset can get you far. From gymnast to kickboxer and now student-athlete in America: her path is anything but standard, but inspiring for that very reason. She proves that it is never too late to discover a new passion and that with the right attitude you can even shine on the other side of the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
