Pedro Mol

CEO. Played tennis at University of North Carolina Wilmington for 4 years and is the founder of Slamstox.

Slamstox team member

Pedro Mol

After graduation from high school in the Netherlands, Pedro decided to start studying at Tilburg University. He soon found out that it was very difficult to combine his university studies with his tennis ambitions. After studying for a year in Tilburg, Pedro transferred to the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he continued his business degree while playing for the UNCW Men’s Tennis Team.

Pedro played for UNCW in the period of 2011-2014. With his team he was ranked top 35 in NCAA Division 1. In addition, he earned a bachelor’s degree in International Business and an MBA in Finance & Investments. During his MBA, Pedro lived and studied for half a year in Valencia, Spain. He also played tennis tournaments and club leagues at a national and international level.

In 2014, Pedro moved back to the Netherlands. Based on his knowledge, network and experience he founded Slamstox to help other student-athletes realize their dreams. Slamstox has grown to be much more than that and Pedro’s higher goal is to make sure that the term “student-athlete” is recognized worldwide.

In his spare time, Pedro plays tennis in the highest Dutch League (Eredivisie) for a club team named Lewabo. He enjoys traveling and prefers to be active and entrepreneurial. You can always wake him up for an exciting basketball game, a day of surfing or a big steak!

Thijs Seijler

Manager track & field & golf. Absolute recruiting specialist. Also a pretty decent golfer.

Slamstox team member

Thijs Seijler

After graduating from High School, Thijs started his bachelor degree in Sports and Movements education. At that point, Thijs played golf at a national and international level. His ultimate goal was to play golf professionally after his education. He quickly noticed that it was very hard to combine his studies with high level golf.

At the end of his bachelor degree, Thijs was introduced to Slamstox by his ex teammate Rob van de Vin, to do his thesis research. For his thesis he researched if studying in the US as a student-athlete gives someone more chance at a job in the Netherlands than someone who is studying in the Netherlands because of the skills they develop. After finishing his thesis, Thijs started working at Slamstox as the specialist of golf and track & field.

Thijs still plays golf but recently also started at the basketball club in Breda. Nowadays you will still see him shine at the National Championships and other big National tournaments.

Thijs’ his goal is to help the young talented golfers pursue their dream as a student-athlete and help the student-athletes who graduate find a job in the Netherlands that fits them perfectly. Also, Thijs is always ready for a match of Basketball, a round of golf and a good joke.

It turned out to be a great move, because six years, 2 degrees, a year in the work field and countless amazing memories later she can full heartedly say it was the best decision of her life.

Thanks to the professional sports culture and many practice hours put in at VCU, Marle was able to continue her field hockey career at a high level. She has played at Were Di (Tilburg) in the Overgangsklasse and Promotieklasse for the past 9 years.

As Field Hockey Specialist at Slamstox, it’s Marle’s goal to provide Dutch Field Hockey players with the same great experience as she had. She will assist you in the process from A to Z.

Manager Women's Soccer. She is currently serving as Graduate Assistant Coach at Minot State University

Slamstox team member

Daisy de Boer

After a wonderful career at PEC Zwolle (formerly CSE Zwolle), FC Twente, SC Heerenveen, and the Dutch national team under 15 and 16 years, Daisy decided to combine her study and soccer in the USA. The Apeldoorn native left Windesheim Zwolle and Dutch soccer to further develop herself as a soccer player on the other side of the world. For Daisy, this was not exactly something she had planned. She was given the opportunity to compete in the Dallas International Girls Cup in Texas for the experience, after which she received several offers. After the University of Arkansas, which played in the Division I SEC Conference, could not work out in 2016, she transferred to Angelina College in 2018. While earning her General Studies degree at this junior college in Texas, she made the All-Region 14 team as best midfielder as well as the Dean's List. She then transferred to Summit League Division I school University of North Dakota where she once again made the President's List. A year later she wanted a change and transferred to Division II school Minot State University. As she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in Minot, North Dakota, she finished two successful years earning the All-Tournament team, First & Second Team All-Conference, and All-Academic Award.

After 6 wonderful years with many experiences and cold winters of -35 degrees Celsius, it was not over yet for Daisy. She decided to stay at Minot State University as a Women's Soccer Graduate Assistant Coach while completing her master's degree in Sports Management. Daisy hopes to be able to give something back with this backpack full of experiences by providing the best guidance, so that girls who have this dream also get the opportunity to experience this great adventure!

Daisy also enjoys traveling, socializing, and spending quality time with family and friends. In addition, she hopes to soon be back on the field as a soccer player in the Netherlands when she moves back in December.

After playing for FC Groningen's youth academy for seven years, Mats made the move to the United States in the summer of 2019. Slamstox team member

Ramon Petit

Sports enthusiast, graduating student of SPECO Sports Communication, and active in the tennis department of Slamstox.

Slamstox team member

Ramon Petit

ChatGPT
ChatGPT

Ramon is engaged as a graduation intern at Slamstox until the summer of 2024, primarily focusing on the tennis department. He is also an active tennis player himself, belonging to the same club where Pedro Mol began his journey!

As a true Eindhoven native, Ramon is deeply involved with PSV. At the proud frontrunner of Dutch football, he frequently provides live radio commentary, traveling all around the country for this purpose. This passion for sports characterizes Ramon, which is why he's pursuing a degree in SPECO Sports Communication in Tilburg. Additionally, he works as a sports journalist for the Eindhovens Dagblad, covering various sports and thus possessing extensive knowledge in the field. At Slamstox, he will contribute by writing various articles for the website.

However, let's get back to tennis. Ramon first encountered Slamstox during the inaugural Tennis Showcase. Since then, he has been involved with events like the Amjoy Cup and is now part of the organizing team for the international tennis tournament as a Press Manager. You might already recognize him from these events!

Although Ramon may not have reached the level to play tennis in the United States himself, he did study abroad. In Vienna, Austria, he pursued various courses in media and communication. But that's not all— he also served as captain/coach of his university's volleyball team, miraculously winning the school championship with his team. Ramon can certainly take pride in this achievement, as it's a title even our own volleyball legend Ron Zwerver doesn't have on his resume.

Ruben Laugs

Former soccer player for VVV-Venlo, student of SPECO Sport Marketing, and intern at Slamstox in the football department.

Slamstox team member

Ruben Laugs

Ruben is a curious student with a broad interest in the world of football as well as beyond it. He has gained considerable experience within the football realm through years of involvement in the youth academy of VVV-Venlo. When balancing football at VVV-Venlo became challenging alongside his studies, he decided to shift his focus towards his professional career.

After obtaining his havo diploma, Ruben chose to pursue a degree in SPECO Sports Marketing at the Johan Cruyff Academy in Tilburg. He made this decision because of his interest in the sports world (beyond just football) and because the program allowed him to balance his elite sports commitments, akin to practices in America.

Currently, Ruben plays football at Wittenhorst, representing the O23 team. He frequently joins the first team as well. Additionally, Ruben spends a lot of time at the gym, deriving much energy and joy from it. In short, if someone is deeply engaged in sports, it's Ruben. As a third-year student, he is about to embark on his internship at Slamstox, focusing on, as you might expect, the football department. It will be six months filled with new challenges and learning opportunities, where he'll be deeply immersed in what he considers the most beautiful and enjoyable sport: football.

Tanner Stump

International Recruiting Specialist. NCAA DI Championship Coach, former coach at the University of Florida.

Slamstox team member

Tanner Stump

Tanner always had the goal of being a collegiate coach.  With that in mind, he chose Mississippi State as his four year home as a player.  While there, he experienced first-hand how to take an unranked program into the top 25 which gave him crucial experience for the journey ahead.

He was given his start at Middle Tennessee State University where he won a conference championship in his first year as assistant coach, followed by the highest national ranking in a decade (N 35) the next season.  He then moved on to Furman University to work with Kelly Jones (former N 1 Doubles ATP) for a stint of one season and helped lead the Paladins to the conference title match.  That summer, Tanner was given the opportunity to return to his alma mater and coach at Mississippi State for the next two years.  The team achieved top 25 rankings in both years, culminating in a Sweet 16 run made by 7 players he had recruited in one season!  That put him on the map to then receive the offer to coach at the University of Florida.

In 2016, Tanner began his 6 year tenure at UF which included the program’s first national title in men’s tennis in 2021, 3 SEC regular season championships, 1 SEC tournament title, and 2 individual national singles championships.  During his tenure, Tanner was able to cement himself as a top recruiter, landing multiple N1 ranked classes.

In 2022, Tanner stepped down from the collegiate coaching profession to spend more time with his growing family which includes his wife, Chelsea, and their three children.  This led to him coming on board at Slamstox where he gets to use his experience and recruiting knowledge to continue to help prospective student-athletes across the world.  When not thinking about tennis, Tanner enjoys playing games with his kids, woodworking projects, and any type of sport.
