18 year old Julius started playing tennis at the age of 6, in his youth he played soccer and tennis at a high level. When he was 12 years old and started high school, he chose to focus on tennis. He trains 7 to 8 hours a week at ATV Berkenrode, the club where he also plays competition.

During his youth he has played several youth tournaments and club championships, in which he ensured that he has continued to improve himself. His serve has become one of his most important weapons within his game. Physically, Julius is a strong player, he likes to play long rallies from the baseline in which he tries to make it physically hard for his opponent. His physical strength has also ensured that he has never had an injury in his tennis career.

As an athlete, he is described as a player who can be coached well: he’s a good listener, learns quickly and easily applies instructions in his matches. He loves playing with a team, he enjoys working together and competing for the win – a key feature for college tennis.

Julius likes to work many hours in the coming years, so that he can get the most out of himself. He has ambitions not only as an athlete, but also as a student. He sees that this combination is better in the USA and looks forward to joining a college team later this year.
