While getting his high school diploma, he already knew for sure that he wanted to go to America and play college golf. After several interviews and difficult choices, he ended up at Bellevue University.

In the 5 years he has played here, he has hardly missed a game and from the beginning he has been an important part of the team. He has won 3 tournaments and in the last 3 years has consistently finished in the top 10 with the team at nationals. Since his return, he has continued to play golf and continues to do so at a high level. Floris-Jan would still like to play professional golf and hopes to continue his career full-time on the course in a few years.

Besides golf, Floris-Jan also enjoys soccer and Formula 1.
