Level
Charissa currently plays for Roomburg U25-1, competing at the regional level for U25 teams. As a youth player, she played at HC Alphen, where she was seen as a standout player who consistently made an impact on the game.

Playing style
Charissa is an explosive and athletic attacker/midfielder who brings energy and intensity to every match. Her speed and acceleration allow her to break open the field, beat opponents in one-on-one situations, and quickly turn defensive moments into attacking opportunities. She transitions rapidly between offense and defense, using her agility and game awareness to close gaps in midfield and recover possession when needed. Charissa values communication and leadership, often organizing players around her and keeping the team connected. 

Academics
Charissa graduated from Dutch high school at the HAVO level in June 2025 and is currently taking a gap year to focus on athletic development, personal growth, and preparation for college-level academics and hockey.

Charissa is excited and fully motivated to continue her field hockey and academic journey in the United States. She looks forward to bringing her speed, competitiveness, and positive presence to a college program, while challenging herself in a new environment and contributing to her team’s success on and off the field.
