Athletic Background

Cid has played basketball since the age of five, competing at the highest levels in the Netherlands since he was ten. Over the years, he has developed through several clubs, including DAS Delft, Lokomotief Rijswijk, and currently ZZ Leiden. At ZZ Leiden, he competes across multiple teams, including MU19, MU22, the men’s second team (PROMO), and also trains with the men’s first team.

While he has not yet won a championship, he reached the national final last year, demonstrating his ability to perform on big stages. Internationally, Cid has gained experience through youth tournaments and camps, including an elite camp in Italy, the Kortrijk XMAS tournament for three consecutive years, and the Lemvig competition in Sweden during his younger years. This exposure has helped him develop a strong competitive edge and familiarity with different playing styles.

The 2025–2026 season marks a breakout year for Cid, often considered a late bloomer. He has had several standout performances, including a career-high 35 points and 22 rebounds in a single game, signaling his arrival as a high-level contributor.

Strengths

Cid is a complete wing, excelling in shooting, dribbling, rebounding, passing, and playmaking. He can create his own shot off the dribble, finish through contact, or stop on a dime for a smooth floater or mid-range jumper. From deep, he is a consistent 3-point threat with a quick and clean release. His versatility, size, and high basketball IQ make him a dynamic presence on both offense and defense, capable of impacting every aspect of the game.

Academics

Cid finished his high school in 2025 at the VWO level,  the highest level of education in the Netherlands. He has achieved a Duolingo English test score of 135 and has a GPA of 3.45, demonstrating strong academic performance alongside his athletic commitments. His academic discipline and language proficiency make him well-prepared for collegiate study abroad.
