Level
Eja-Maylin plays for WFHC Hoorn and competes at the higher regional levels in the Netherlands (Tweede and Eerste Klasse). She is seen as a standout and go-to player for her team. 

Playing style
Eja-Maylin is a creative and technically skilled midfielder who also can also play in the forward line. She excels in one-on-one situations, using speed and quick hands to eliminate opponents and accelerate into space. Her handling speed and acceleration allow her to maintain control even under pressure, while her smart off-the-ball movement ensures she positions herself in dangerous spaces to receive and distribute the ball effectively. Eja-Maylin’s technical ability, quick decision-making, and creativity on the ball make her an essential part of her squad’s attacking structure and overall play.

High performance
Eja-Maylin was previously selected by her club to participate in the selection training sessions for both the Regional U14 and the Dutch National U16 teams. These experiences have allowed her to train at a high-performance level among some of the top youth players in the Netherlands.

Academics
Eja-Maylin expected to graduate Dutch high school at the HAVO level in June 2026. 

Eja-Maylin is excited to continue her academic and athletic journey in the United States, where she looks forward to challenging herself in a highly competitive environment. She is eager to learn from new coaches, contribute to her future college team’s success, and continue growing as both a player and a person while experiencing the unique culture of collegiate field hockey.
