Athletic Background

Finley has developed in a highly competitive environment within the Dutch basketball system. With Basketbal Academie Limburg, she has consistently competed at the highest national level and achieved strong results in youth competitions. She finished second at the Dutch National Championship U18 and also earned a second-place finish in the Dutch Cup with an U18 team competing in the U20 cup competition, highlighting her ability to perform against older and more experienced opponents.

Internationally, Finley represented the Netherlands at the European Championship in 2022 (B Division), where the team finished sixth. Her exposure to international competition has contributed significantly to her tactical understanding, physical readiness, and mental resilience on the court.

At the high-performance level, Finley has been selected multiple times for the Dutch National Team, representing the U15 squad in 2019 and returning to the national senior program in both 2022 and 2025. These experiences reflect her consistency, development, and continued presence within the national team structure.

Strengths

Finley excels in one-on-one situations and possesses a high scoring ability, allowing her to create offense both off the dribble and in transition. She is particularly effective as a full-court defender, using her strength, awareness, and intensity to apply pressure and disrupt opponents. Additionally, her ability to deliver accurate full-court passes makes her a valuable playmaker, especially in fast-paced and transition-heavy systems. Her versatility enables her to contribute in multiple roles depending on team needs.

Finley is focused on further developing her shooting consistency and actively seeks as many opportunities as possible to work on her shot. Improving this aspect of her game will help her become an even more complete and reliable offensive threat at the collegiate level.

Athletic Goals

Finley’s primary goal is to continue developing herself as a basketball player and to remain consistent in her performance. By transferring to the United States as a junior, she aims to challenge herself in a new competitive environment, grow within a strong collegiate program, and maximize her potential both individually and as a team contributor.

Academics & Transfer Status

Finley is currently a sophomore in college, studying Sport Marketing, and will transfer from the Netherlands to the United States as a junior. She is motivated to combine her academic ambitions with high-level basketball and is prepared for the demands of collegiate athletics in the U.S.
