Athletic Background
Janne has been playing volleyball since the age of five and has spent her entire volleyball career with Hovoc. Through years of consistent training and competition, she has steadily developed into a strong middle blocker with a growing understanding of the game.

Last season marked an important milestone in her development, as she competed in senior-level volleyball for the first time with Hovoc 6. Playing against older and more experienced athletes helped her gain confidence and valuable match experience. Currently, she competes for Hovoc 3, where she continues to develop her skills and gain experience in a more competitive environment. Next season she will join the first team of Peelpush, competing in the Dutch Eredivisie. The highest senior level in the Netherlands.

She is also part of the Dutch National Youth Team U18. 

Strengths
As a middle blocker, Janne’s greatest strengths are her attacking and blocking abilities at the net. She is particularly effective in attack because of her ability to hit steep angles and score both down the line and around opposing blocks. Her height and reach allow her to attack above the net and create difficult situations for defenders.

Blocking is another key strength of her game. Standing at 6’3, Janne naturally covers a large area at the net and consistently challenges opposing hitters. Her length and timing make her a strong presence defensively and an important asset in stopping attacks.

Academics
Alongside her athletic career, Janne is currently enrolled in the VWO program, the highest level of secondary education in the Netherlands. Holding a 3.93 GPA. She has not decided what she wants to major in.
