Level
Lily plays for AMVJ U18-1, where she is a key player for her team. She has extensive experience competing at the Super, Subtop and Eerste Klasse levels. Throughout her development, Lily has frequently played in teams one age group above her, allowing her to challenge herself consistently and accelerate her growth as a player. Recently she has been asked to start training and playing with the Dames 1 team of her club, allowing her to learn from older players and play a more physical style of hockey.

Playing style
Lily is an attacking minded midfielder with a strong sense for space and timing. She reads the game well and is effective at finding and exploiting open spaces in midfield. Lily is capable of delivering decisive assists to forwards and has the ability to shoot powerfully and accurately on goal herself. During attacking phases, she often positions herself well inside the circle, where she is alert for rebounds and tap-ins. Her offensive awareness and willingness to take initiative make her a consistent threat in and around the circle.

Additional information
Lily was invited to the Tophockey Talent Academy in 2024. This group frequently practices together and receives high level training from experienced coaches. The group is comprised of talented and ambitious players from the region who are interested in becoming the best player they can be.

Academics
Lily is a strong and motivated student at the HAVO level and is expected to graduate in July 2026. She balances her academic responsibilities with her athletic ambitions and is committed to continuing both at the next level.

Lily is excited to pursue her academic and athletic career in the United States, where she looks forward to developing as a player by competing at a higher level, improving her technical skills, and becoming an important contributor to her team. She is motivated by the opportunity to challenge herself, learn from different coaches and playing styles, and fully experience collegiate field hockey while building lasting friendships and expressing her passion for the sport.
