Level
Mercedes competes at the highest Landelijk level for THC Hurley, a premier club in the Netherlands. Since the beginning of her career, she has consistently played for the club’s first selection teams, reaching the highest possible league every season. Mercedes is also a practice player with the THC Hurley Women’s 1, competing at the Hoofdklasse level alongside seasoned professionals and top-tier talent.

Playing style
Mercedes is a fast and intelligent midfielder who excels as a pivot or on the sides. She combines outstanding endurance (consistently ranking at the top of her team’s fitness testing) with a quick first touch and creative vision. Known for her dangerous actions along the baseline, she excels at reading the game and recognizing space early to create scoring opportunities. Whether taking on opponents in 1v1 duels or delivering a decisive pass, Mercedes maintains a high tempo and uses her speed to drive transitions.

Accomplishments
Throughout her youth career, Mercedes has been a consistent presence in national championship tournaments, both indoor and outdoor. Her teams have frequently reached the final and semifinal stages at the highest youth level in the Netherlands. In addition to these national successes, she has won several high-level invitational tournaments.

High performance
In 2022, Mercedes was selected for the KNHB U14 Regional Team (North Holland). She spent a full year training and competing in this high-performance environment, representing the top talent in her region through the KNHB talent pathway.

Academics
Mercedes is currently pursuing the VWO/Gymnasium program at Montessori Lyceum Amsterdam, the most demanding academic curriculum in the Netherlands. She is an ambitious student-athlete on track to graduate in June 2027.
