Moos van de Rijdt is everything you look for in a modern point guard: composed, skilled, coachable, and fiercely competitive. Despite being only 18, Moos already plays with the maturity and decision-making of a college-level floor general. He combines high-level ball-handling and elite pacing, making him incredibly hard to predict off the dribble. Whether it’s a controlled blow-by or a perfectly timed step-back, Moos thrives with the ball in his hands.
A three-level scorer, Moos shoots 75% from three and 85% from midrange in structured drills, with a deadly “stop-on-a-dime” ability both off the catch and the dribble. His floaters are soft-touch and unpredictable, and he finishes confidently with either hand around the rim. Moos has the green light to shoot from anywhere on the floor, a testament to both his accuracy and his coaches’ trust in his shot selection. Offensively, he’s a dual-threat: capable of scoring 40 when the team needs a bucket-getter or dishing out 10 assists when running the system — and he can switch between those roles with ease.
On defense, Moos is agile, grounded, and smart. His quick feet, strong core, and anticipation help him stay in front of faster guards, while his mindset and toughness ensure he’s engaged on every possession. He brings grit and heart, constantly active and aggressive, never shying away from physicality.
Background & Achievements
Moos began his basketball journey at 12, and by 13 he was recruited to the prestigious Heroes Den Bosch program. At 15, he helped lead the U16 team to a national championship. He has since dominated the Dutch U19 Premier League, finishing as the league’s top scorer from beyond the arc, while also competing in the Men’s 2 team for Heroes Den Bosch. Moos is also a standout in 3×3 basketball — the reigning Dutch champion and currently ranked 2nd in the national U18 FIBA rankings.
Recently, Moos joined the first team of Heroes Den Bosch in practice, the reigning national champions of the Netherlands and Belgium.
