Ramon de Vos has had a deep passion for tennis from a young age, dedicating time to improving both his skills and fitness. His game is built on some solid weapons, such as his backhand and dropshot. 

 On the court, Ramon is known for his strong counter attacks, although on faster surfaces like hardcourt, he also looks to be more aggressive and approaches the net when the opportunity arises. His favorite shots are the backhand down the line and dropshot, these are the shots he can rely on in crucial moments. 

Ramon has competed in several regional and national tournaments, where he has achieved some notable results, such as: 

– 4-6 6-4 10-7 win over Mink Amersfoort (UTR 10.41)

– 5-7 4-6 loss to Bas Bouwman (UTR 11.73)

– 1-6 7-5 7-5 win over Joris Onverwagt (UTR 9.80)

Academically, Ramon is committed to his studies. He plays tennis 3 to 4 times a week alongside his studies. Ramon’s academic interests lie in econometrics, operations research and data science. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in the Netherlands and expects to graduate in the spring of 2025. Therefore, he’d like to start his graduate studies in the Fall of 2025.

Ramon’s main goal during his time in the U.S. is to train intensively and push himself to reach his full potential as an athlete. After his time in the U.S., he hopes to continue improving both his physicality and his tennis game, with the aim of competing in tournaments at a higher level.
